Reserve your spot

A Free Webinar Series for K–12 Educators, hosted by SubjectToClimate & Maine Environmental Education Association.

This webinar walks you through how to use NOA and NASA data from the Maine Climate Education Hub to learn about salt marsh restoration.

Salt marshes are vital coastal wetlands that buffer storms, filter pollution, and provide habitat for wildlife. This project examines the processes and motivations behind community restoration of damaged salt marshes, highlighting hands-on strategies, local examples, and the benefits for both people and ecosystems. Participants will gain a practical understanding of restoration methods they can see and discuss in their own coastal neighborhoods.

Join Tonya Prentice from MSTA in exploring the science and data behind ecosystem restoration.

This webinar is third in an 8-part series 'Empowering Maine Classrooms: Climate Lessons for Teachers' featuring Maine educators and partners sharing climate-focused lessons rooted in Maine’s Learning Results and communities.
