Continuing press and achievements for the Changemakers Network!

We are so excited that the Maine Environmental Changemakers Network is continuing to get fantastic press for the work they are doing. After wrapping up the 2019 annual gathering the Changemakers were featured in both the Boothbay Register and the Wiscasset Newspaper. It is wonderful to get national recognition for things like our UL Innovative Education Award but we especially love connecting our work to the Maine communities we serve and champion! Visit our Changemakers page if you are interested in learning more about this great program!

Jennifer Page

Dr. Jennifer Page graduated from the University of Maine with a B.S. in Marine Science and earned her Ph.D. in Biology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She then returned to UMaine as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the School of Marine Sciences before joining the faculty of Bangor High School, her alma mater. Jenn helped develop the school's STEM Academy and became even more passionate about bringing authentic research experiences and inquiry curriculum to students. While at Bangor High, Jenn coached the Speech Team and spent summers at MDI Biological Lab as a volunteer mentor and a Visiting Scientist. She enjoys helping other educators as an instructor with the New England Institute for Teacher Education and spends her spare time knitting, playing games, and snagging quality time with her husband and two cats. Jenn is excited to be part of the Hurricane Island community where she can combine her passions for marine science and education into an incredibly fulfilling career.
