MEEA BOARD

If you're interested in getting to know more about MEEA we welcome you to join us at an upcoming Board Meeting. We meet the first Wednesday of each month in Falmouth, Auburn or Augusta. Meetings are usually held from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. To join us at a meeting, please contact Pat Maloney at 207-626-7990 or by email at meplt@gwi.net .

Interested in joining the MEEA board?

MEEA Goals include:


  Continue to provide and improve on an excellent annual conference
•  Support Environmental Literacy, especially the new Environmental Literacy Plan (ELP)
•  Seek more members and better engage them in EE activities
•  Make the organization more visible
•  Increase our financial and staff capacity so we can offer more great projects

Requirement for board members:

  • Enthusiastic about promoting EE

  • Commitment to attend meetings (We meet on the first Wednesday of the month from 3:30-5:30 in Falmouth at Maine Audubon)

  • Willingness to contribute to committee work

  • Abilty to commit to a two-year term of service

Our committees include:

  • Conference and other events

  • Membership & Communication

  • Supporting ELP

  • Finance and Fundraising

We are particularly looking for board members to help out with the Membership & Communication and Fund Raising committees. We need:

•  good writing skills, web site experience, creative ideas for expanding membership
•  grant writing skills, experience obtaining sponsorships, creative ideas for funding
